Polished brick and vitrified brick are both modern decoration materials. Many people can't distinguish the difference between them, so they are at a loss. Today,Foshan ceramic manufacturer Sublimated ceramics tell you what is the difference between these two kinds of ceramic tiles!
Polished brick is a kind of bright brick made by grinding the surface of the whole brick body. Compared with the whole brick, the polished brick has the characteristics of hardness and wear resistance, and is suitable for use in most indoor spaces except toilets and kitchens. Vitrified brick is a kind of bright ceramic tile made by grinding the surface of the whole brick body, and its water absorption is very low.
In terms of manufacturing technology, polished tiles are made by pressing clay and stone powder with a press and finally firing. The front and back sides have the same color without glaze. After burning, the surface is polished and smooth. Vitrified tiles are similar to polished tiles, but they have higher requirements for production, such as press, temperature and density. Vitrified brick is an intensified polishing process, and the surface generally no longer needs polishing, so the price of vitrified brick is higher.
Polished tiles have bright, clean, hard, wear-resistant and luxurious atmosphere, while vitrified tiles have smooth and transparent surfaces, good bending strength and acid and alkali resistance. Water-absorbing polished tiles are better than vitrified tiles, and so are their strength. During decoration construction, polished tiles need to be soaked in advance, while vitrified tiles are not.
Polished tiles will leave concave and convex pores when they are made, which are easy to accumulate dirt and not resistant to dirt. The vitrified brick is relatively simple in color and texture, poor in anti-skid, and prone to hollowing and falling off, which affects the beauty.
